founder's day
Founder's Day is a celebration in honor of our founder and first pastor, Rev. William A. Cathell, Sr. (May 29, 1930 - May 8, 2019). We celebrate on the Sunday closest to his birthday. Right now it is a small church gathering, but we hope to grow Founder's Day into a public event on the scale of our Jesus Festival.

Church anniversary
The United Christian Church of the Eastern Shore of Virginia was founded October 23rd, 1988 by Rev. William A. Cathell, Sr. Every year, in October, we celebrate the anniversary of our founding. UCCESVA turned 30 years old in 2018! Generally we gather in the fellowship hall and celebrate with singing, fellowship and a potluck and/or hold a special church service.

christmas party
The most joyous time of the year! The celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We get together in December to celebrate. With Christmas music to set the atmosphere, we enjoy the cookies prepared at the Annual Cookie Day and exchange gifts & cards with our church family as we fellowship.
birthday celebrations
The first Sunday of the month, we gather after our regular Sunday morning church service to celebrate all the birthdays that are coming up that month. Everyone is important to our church family and we want them to know!
